Steffen Peters of USA at 58 years of age will be the oldest rider in the World Cup Final in Omaha next week while the oldest horse is the 19-year-old Tribiani ridden by Singapore’s Caroline Chew.
The youngest rider is Jorind Verwimp of Belgium at 28, just a few months younger than Anna Buffini of USA, also 28.
Three horses are the youngest at 10–the American-bred Serenade MF ridden by Alice Tarjan of USA, Hexagon’s Ich Weiss ridden by Thamar Zweistra of the Netherlands and Nabab ridden by Justina Vanagaite of Lithuania.
Aside from defending champion Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on TSF Dalera BB on Germany another World Cup title holder in the lineup is Isabell Werth, the most decorated equestrian in history with five championships including at Omaha in 2017 to start her string of three straight titles on Weihegold OLD.
Steffen Peters is the other who claimed the title on Ravel in 2009, one of only two Americans to do so in the history of the annual championship.
