Nexolia Feodoro will be ridden from now on by Lars Petersen.

Owner Vicky Lavoie decided to move Feodoro to Lars after she was informed that Salvino will remain Adrienne’s premier horse in seeking a place on the American team for the Olympics in Paris next year.

“Adrienne and the team at TYL have been wonderful and it’s been an honor and a great privilege to have them work with my horses over the last two years,” Vicky said. “They have a fabulously successful program. Salvino is a legend and Betsy is a great supporter of dressage in the US and I wish them all continued success.”

Vicky has become an enthusiastic supporter of dressage and has acquired a lineup of top horses from youngsters to Grand Prix.

She said she opted for Lars Petersen, 55 years old, to take over training and competition of Feodoro because of his extensive experience and success.

Lars first came to the United States as a teenager but was lured back to Denmark to ride for the famous Blue Hors stud. He competed at the 1996 Alanta Olympics and four world championships including in 2014 on the U.S. owned Mariett and three European championships.

He was reserve champion on Cavan at the 2002 World Cup, one of five Finals in which he competed including on Mariett.

He maintained close ties with Denmark, giving monthly clinics to riders at Blue Hors stud including some of those now among the best in the world until the Covid 19 pandemic made travel difficult.

Lars has spent more than half his life in the United States, mostly in the Wellington area, became a citizen in 2016 and rides under the Stars ‘n’ Stripes. He is married to Melissa Taylor, an American dressage rider.

Salvino, owned by Betsy Juliano, is one of the most successful horses in American dressage history with Adrienne riding the stallion to team silver medals at the Tokyo Olympics and the 2018 World Equestrian Games in Tryon.
