WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 27, 2023–Susan Pape of Great Britain won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday on Harmony’s Eclectisch, a KWPN stallion that the partnership is in the sixth year of competing at the Global Dressage Festival.
Susan and the 14-year-old Eclectisch owned by Susan and Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation of Hobe Sound, Florida were awarded 70.826% in competition in the unseasonably cold weather (65F/18C).
Susan and Eclectisch that began Big Tour in 2020 competed on British Nations Cup teams at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen, Germany in 2021 and 2022.
Caroline Chew of Singapore competing in Florida for the first time made her Big Tour debut on Blue Hors Zachmo for runner-up on 68.261%.
Caroline, an anti trust lawyer based in England, acquired the Oldenburg stallion that has a barn name of “Mo,” from Blue Hors last year. Zachmo was competed in Wellington throughout the 2020 circuit by Agnete Kirk Thinggaard of the owning Blue Hors family. The horse was competed by Blue Hors rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald last year.
Jan Ebeling of Wellington, Florida and Jubi’s Tenacity placed third on 67.978%.
