ZAKRZÓW, Poland, Oct. 28, 2022–Ingrid Klimke and Franziskus won the World Cup Grand Prix Friday in the first competition since the pair was on the German bronze medal team at the world championships almost three months ago.

Ingrid and the 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 75.522% for the win, the first for the pair since March 2020.

In eventing, Ingrid has won two Olympic team gold medals and one silver as well as multiple team and individual medals at world and European Championships.

Spain’s Severo Jurado Lopez on Dahoud, an eight-year-old Hanoverian gelding in the third Big Tour for the duo, was second on a personal best 70.565%.

Zaneta Skowronska-Kozubik of Poland and Romantic P, a 13-year-old German Sport Horse gelding that competed at the 2021 Europeans and this year’s world championshis, was third on 68.783%.

The Freestyle to determine points in qualifying for the World Cup Final in Omaha is scheduled for Saturday.
