SOMERFORD PARK, England, Sept. 17, 2020–Kathleen Kröncke, the England-based German, rode San Royal to victory in Britain’s national Grand Prix championship Saturday.

Kathleen and the 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 74.478% for the win. Kathleen rode the horse on Germany’s Nations Cup teams in Rotterdam and Falsterbo, Sweden in 2018. On other horses as a Junior and Young Rider, she competed for Germany at European Championships.

Lara Butler and Kristjan, a 17-year-old Oldenburg gelding, were reserve champions on 73.869%.

Gareth Hughes and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding Sintano van Hof Olympia that competed on Britain’s silver medal team at the European Championships last September, were third on 73.109%.
