ERMELO, Netherlands, Sept. 11, 2022–Global Player OLD, an Oldeburg stallion, was ridden by Eva Möller of Germany Sunday to world six-year-old champion.
Global Player (Grand Galaxy Win T x Blue Hors Don Schufro) was awarded a score of 9.76 points, including two marks of 10, for submission and perspective to beat out Hesselhoej Down Town, the Danish Warmblood stallion ridden by Jeanna Hogberg that was reserve champion on 9.38.
Global Player, owned by Hengsthaltung Helgstrand/Schockemöhle and veteran young horse rider Eva received scores of 9.8 for trot and 9.5 for both walk and canter.
Hesselhoej Down Town (Hesselhoej Donkey Boy x Blue Hors Zack) and Jeanna Hogberg of Sweden received scores of 9.3 for both trot and walk, 9 for canter, 9.5 for submission and 9.8 for perspective. The stallion, owned by Helgstrand Dressage, was champion as a five-year-old in 2021 and won this year’s preliminary competition.
Lennox U.S., KWPN stallion (Grand Galaxy Win x Rousseau) ridden by Jill Bogers of the Netherlands placed third on a score of 8.9 points, with 8.7 for trot, 7.9 for walk, 9.4 for canter, submission 9.5 and 9 for perspective. Lennox is owned by Paul Schockemöhle.
