ERMELO, Netherlands, Sept. 11, 2022–Kjento was ridden by Britain’s Charlotte Fry to become World 7-Year-Old Champion Sunday, earning the championship title for the second year.

The KWPN stallion (Negro x Jazz) competed by world champion rider Charlotte was awarded 85.786% for the win and the only mark of 10–for trot–for the 15 combinations that started the final. Bred and owned by Van Olst Horses, Kjento received 8 for walk, 9.2 for canter, 9.5 for submission and 9.8 for perspective. The horse was world championship in 2021.

The Oldenburg stallion Destello OLD (Dimaggio x Fuerst Fugger) with Germany’s Beatrice Hoffrogge was reserve champion on 83.957%. Destello was awarded 9.8 for trot, 8.9 for walk, 9 for canter, 8.9 submission and perspective 9.5.

Escamillo, a Rhinelander stallion (Escolar x Rohdiamant) with Manuel Dominguez Bernal of Spain scored 83.072% for third place, 9.5 for trot and perspective, 9 for both walk and canter and 8.5 for submission.
