SAMORIN, Slovakia, Aug. 29, 2022–Frederic Wandres, in his first competition since the world championships on Germany’s bronze medal team, rode Hot Hit OLD to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Monday.

Frederic and the 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding were awarded 73.739% for the win.

Spain’s Pablo Gómez Molina and Ulises de Ymas, a 12-year-old P.R.E. gelding, posted a personal best 70.761% for runner-up. Like Frederic, Pablo spends winters at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida.

Austria’s Katharina Haas and Damon’s Dejaron, a 13-year-old Westfalen gelding, placed third on 70.413% also a personal best.

Susan Dutta of Wellington and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding Don Design DC scored 70.304% for fourth.

Justina Vanagaite of Lithuania on Nabab, a nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle on a score of 74.100%.

The win was the third this season and moved the par into a tie with Alisa Glinka of Moldova on Aachen at the top of the Central European standings for thew Final at Omaha next April.
