DONAUESCHINGEN, Germany, Aug. 19, 2022–Dorothee Schneider rode Faustus to victory in the CDI4* Grand Prix Friday and was runner-up on Sisters Act MT OLD.
Dorothee and Faustus, the reserve combination for Germany’s world championship team, scored 75.783% for the sixth win in nine starts this year. The pair were on Germany’s gold medal team at the European Championships a year ago. Dorothee and the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding were named reserve after Showtime FRH, her 2016 Rio Olympic and Tokyo Games team gold medal partner, was not fit for the Herning, Denmark championships.
On the 10-year-old Oldenburg mare Sisters Act, Dorothee was awarded 72.696% in only the second CDI Grand Prix for the pair.
Anja Plönzke on Tannenhof’s Fahrenheit, 15-year-old Hanoverian stallion, placed third on 71.065% for a German sweep of the top three places.
