FALSTERBO, Sweden, July 17, 2022–Denmark dominated the CDIO4* Nations Cup with victories in the Grand Prix Freestyle and Special Sunday while Sweden was the overall winner of the 2022 trans-Atlantic series that drew lukewarm interest.
Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald debuted Blue Hors St. Schufro at a Big Tour musical performance for the win on a score of 81.080% with team mate Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Zippo M.I. taking the Special on 73.723% and cementing the country’s standing after the Grand Prix Saturday.
The final results based on placings in the three phases: 1. Denmark 14, 2. Netherlands 30, 3. Sweden 31.
Sweden, nevertheless, finished atop the series launched in 2013 for the fourth time with the Netherlands second, Spain third and the United States fourth.
Of the six events on the calendar at the start of the 2022, Wellington, Florida and Falsterbo did not count toward series standings as the minimum requirement of four nations starting was not met, while a Hungarian competition was canceled to leave only three. Also, the world championships start in Herning, Denmark in less than three weeks that is the prime focus of nations that otherwise might have competed here.
