HAGEN, Germany June 14, 2022–Andreas Helgstrand and the eight-year-old Jovian won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Tuesday for the fourth victory in four starts at Big Tour for the stallion that was twice a world champion as a youngster.

Andreas and Jovian were awarded 76.319% for the win–including three marks of 10, the maximum, for trot work–a day after capturing the Grand Prix. The results put the pair into contention for Denmark’s team of four riders and horses for the world championships in their homeland in less than two months. The pair debuted Big Tour a month ago to win both starts.

Jovian was ridden by Andreas to the world championship at the ages of five and seven but the young horse championship was canceled in 2020 when the KWPN stallion was six because of coronavirus.

Henri Ruoste of Finland rode Rossetti, a 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding to a personal best 75.553% for runner-up.

Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Zippo M.I., a 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, was third on 73.617% also in the second international Big Tour competition.
