PÄRNU, Estonia, May 29, 2022–Lithuania’s Justina Vanagaite rode Nabab to a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday and the pair’s first Big Tour victory.
Justina and the nine-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding scored 74.555% in the seventh musical performance since starting Big Tour 13 months ago. This was the duo’s first qualifier in the World Cup 2022-23 Central European League seeking a start at the Final in Omaha next April. Justina and Nabab rode in the 2021 European Championships as an individual.
Finland’s Stella Hagelstam and Mount St. John Kom Fairy Tale placed second on 74.180% in the Big Tour debut for Stella and the 16-year-old Finnish Warmblood owned by Britain’s Mount St. John stud. The duo won the Grand Prix Saturday.
Lithuania’s Sandra Sysojeva on Jack Daniel’ S, a nine-year-old Rhinelander gelding, were third on 73.915%.
