PÄRNU, Estonia, May 28, 2022–Stella Hagelstam and Mount St. John Kom Fairy Tale won the World Cup Short Cup Grand Prix Saturday in the debut CDI competition for the Finnish rider and the British-owned mare.
Stella and the 16-year-old Finnish Warmblood owned by Mount St. John stud scored 69.474% for the win. The horse was competed at Big Tour by Britain’s Amy Jean Woodhead in 2021 and with Charlotte Dujardin in the saddle was fifth in the British national finals at Intermediate 2 in 2019.
Lithuanians Sandra Sysojeva on Jack Daniel’S, a nine-year-old Rhinelander gelding, were second on 69.447% and Justina Vanagaite on Nabab, a Belgian Warmblood gelding also nine years old, third on 68.500%.
The Freestyle to determine points in the Central European qualifier is scheduled for Sunday.
