KRONENBERG, Netherlands, April 22, 2022–Emmelie Scholtens and the spectacular nine-year-old Indian Rock won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday to post two victories in two starts in the Big Tour debut of the Dutch partnership.
Emmelie and the KWPN stallion (Apaxche x Vivaldi) took the Freestyle with a score of 76.640% after winning the Grand Prix Thursday. Marks of nines and eights for canter, pirouettes and passage overcame mistakes in the extended walk and the extended trot at the beginning in the performance.
Adelinde Cornelissen and Fleau de Baian, 12-year-old KWPN stallion, scored 75.360% for runner-up.
Remy Bastings and Eqador, 13-year-old KWPN gelding, placed third on 75.155%.
Netherlands’ Marieke van der Putten on Tørveslettens Titanium RS2 won the Grand Prix Special on a score of 73.574%. The Special was only the second in six months at Big Tour for Marieke and the 10-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding.
Remy Bastings, also of the Netherlands, on Ambassador placed second on 71.340%.
Germany’s Sandra Nuxoll on Bonheur de La Vie was third on 70.255%.
