HAGEN, Germany, April 21, 2022–Isabell Werth and DSP Quantaz won the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday just hours after Isabell captured the CDI3* Special for a double victory in the Big Tour debut of Superb 2.
Isabell and Quantaz, a 12-year-old German Sport Horse, scored 77.956% for the win. Isabell is ranked sixth in the world on Quantaz that would make the stallion her top ranked with the retirements of Weihegold OLD and Bella Rose.
Sweden’s Juliette Ramel and Buriel K.H. were second on 76.261%, the best Grand Prix result in three years for the 2016 and 2020 Olympic partnership. Juliette and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding led a strong Swedish showing with Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino OLD fourth on 75.652% and Patrik Kittel on Touchdown fifth on 75.609%.
Germany’s Benjamin Werndl on Famoso OLD, 13-year-old Oldenburg gelding, was third on 76.065%.
Isabell Werth made it a double victory in the international debut of Superb 2 winning the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on 75.404%.
Isabell and the 10-year-old Hanoverian mare won the Grand Prix a day earlier.
Finland’s Emma Kanerva on Mist of Titanium OLD, an Oldenburg gelding also 10 years old, scored 73.319% to place second as the pair did in the Grand Prix.
Young-Shik Hwang rode Bluebarry Dream to third on a personal best 73.127% in the the Big Tour debut of the Korean rider and the 10-year-old Hanoverian gelding.
The placing for Young-Shik was the highest since first competing in Europe in 2018 after earning gold at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games.
