JEREZ, Spain, Mar. 25, 2022–Brazil’s João Victor Marcari Oliva rode Escorial Horsecampline to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Friday.
The score of 78.535% gave João the third top place so far this year on the 13-year-old Lusitanio stallion after taking the Grand Prix Thursday on a score of 74.000%. The duo won the CDI3* Grand Prix at this same show grounds a week ago.
João and Escorial went to the Tokyo Olympics and are aiming for the world championships in Herning, Denmark in August.
France’s Morgan Barbançon on Bolero scored 75.335% to place second.
Vasco Mira Godinho of Portugal on Garrett was third on 73.135%.
