WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 24, 2022–Three riders on the United States 2016 Olympic medal team who gave birth to babies less than six months apart meet up at the Global Dressage Festival.

Laura Graves of Geneva, Florida who rode Verdades, Allison Brock of Loxahatchee, Florida on Rosevelt and Kasey Perry-Glass of Wellington on Dublet along with Steffen Peters of San Diego, California on Legolas earned team bronze in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

All three have since married and their children born in 2021:

–Allison Brock: Noah Anthony Siegbert, born July 20;

–Kasey Perry-Glass: Tru Lynn Glass born Nov. 19, and

–Laura Graves: Mackenzie Elaine Maes born Dec. 15.

Credit goes to Robert Dover, who was coach of the 2016 U.S. team, for suggesting the photo opportunity.

We don’t know of any other similar “team” birth occurrence, so please report on dressage-news Facebook page if you do.

We are aware, however, that Jessica von Bredow-Werndl, team and individual gold medalist for Germany at the Tokyo Games, and Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu on the Canadian team at the same Olympics are each expecting their second child around the time of the world championships in August.
