ORNAGO, Italy, Mar. 19, 2022–Matthias Alexander Rath rode Destacado FRH to a personal best score to win the CD3* Grand Prix Special Saturday, the first Big Tour victory for the German partnership.

Matthia and the nine-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 74.277% in their third competition since moving up to international Grand Prix last August. The pair’s previous best was 74.043% set last November.

Switzerland’s Charlotte Lenherr on the 12-year-old gelding Sir Stanley W was second on 71.511% and fellow Swiss Estelle Wettstein on Great Escape Camelot third on 71.340%.
