LE MANS, France, Feb. 11, 2022–Denmark’s Olympic rider Nanna Skodborg Merrald returned Blue Hors Zatchmo to international Big Tour for the first time in two years with victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
Nanna and the 13-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 75.456% in the first international competition for the horse since Agnete Kirk Thinggaard competed Zatchmo in Wellington, Florida two years ago including earning team bronze in the Nations Cup.
Nanna rode Blue Hors Zack on Denmark’s team at the Tokyo Olympics last summer and Atterupgaards Orthilia in the European Championships two months later.
The Netherlands’ Marieke van der Putten placed second on Torveslettens Titanium on 73.348% in only their second CDI Grand Prix start with Marlies van Baalen on Go Legend on 72.978%.
