WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 10, 2022–Frederic Wandres and Bluetooth OLD won the Global Dressage Festival CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday for the third win in three starts so far this year for the German team rider and the 12-year-old Oldenburg gelding.
Frederic, in his second winter on the Florida circuit, and Bluetooth were awarded 73.565% with three judges placing the pair first and two second.
Benjamin Ebeling of Moorpark, California and Illuster van der Kampert, a 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding, scored 73.130%, with two judges placing them first. The ride was the first for the horse since being competed by Ben on the United States team at the World Equestrian Festival Nations Cup last September.
Belgian’s Laurence Vanommeslagh on Edison, a 13-year-old KWPN gelding, was third on 70.609%. Laurence, based near Paris, is competing in Wellington for the second year and seeking to earn a place on her nation’s team for the world championships in Herning, Denmark in August.
