Appointment of a new member of the International Equestrian Federation Dressage Committee member for a four-year term was put off Sunday until the election of a new chair later this week.

Candidates for the committee member position are Gary Rockwell of the United States, Maarten van der Heijden of the Netherlands, Maribel Alonso of Mexico and Peter Storr of Great Britain to replace Briton Andrew Gardner.

Maribel Alonso is also standing to be chair of the six-member committee that currently is all Europeans.

Martin Richenhagen of Germany and Ulf Helgstrand of Denmark are also in the running to succeed Frank Kemperman of the Netherlands who has headed the committee for 13 years as well as being on the FEI Executive Board.
