WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Oct. 11, 2021–A claim against Richard Rockefeller Silvia in the case of alleged fraud in a horse sale involving Caroline Roffman and her husband, Benjamin Meredith, has been dismissed by the Circuit Court in Palm Beach County.

Circuit Judge James Nutt stated in his dismissal order in the case filed by Ruth A. Green of Palm Beach against the three individuals that Richard Rockefeller Silvia of Jacksonville, Florida “has provided evidence of non-liability and refuting plaintiff’s claims against him. Plaintiff in turn has failed to provide any record evidence to support her allegations.”

Green filed the case in June, 2018 against 2010 FEI “Rising Star” dressage rider Caroline Roffman, now 33, show jumper Benjamin Meredith, 37, both of Wellington, Florida and Richard Rockefeller Silvia, 37, alleging she was defrauded of $400,000 in the purchase of a show jumper horse.

Caroline Roffman and Benjamin Meredith, who rides for Australia, remain as defendants in the case, according to court records. Ruth Green has asked for a jury trial to be expedited because of her age, 78, and that procedures have gone on for more than three years.
