KEYSOE, England, Oct. 9, 2021–Lara Butler rode Kristjan to victory on a personal best score in the Keysoe International Dressage CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday and the first double win for the British Nations Cup team partnership in four years of international competition.
Lara and the 16-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 72.957% for the win after taking the Grand Prix Friday. The previous best Special for Lara and Kristjan was 72.234% posted in Germany a year ago.
Gareth Hughes on KK Dominant, a 12-year-old Oldenburg stallion, placed second on 70.298% in only the second CDI Special for the pair.
Amy Jean Woodhead and Mount St. John Kom Fairy Tale, 15-year-old Finnish Warmblood mare, were third on 67.894%.
