BUDAPEST, Oct. 2, 2021–Morgan Barbançon and Sir Donnerhall II OLD won the World Cup short Grand Prix Saturday to launch their campaign for a start in a third annual championship, and capturing the CDI3* Grand Prix on Deodoro.

Morgan and the 15-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 73.368% for the win, to come within a fraction of the best result by the pair of 73.370% set in February this year.

The duo competed in the 2018 World Cup Final in Paris when Morgan was riding for Spain and the following year in Sweden after switching to ride for France. The pair competed at the summer Olympics in Tokyo and then the European Championships, their second continental championship.

On Deodoro, a 10-year-old Westfalen, Morgan scored 70.826% for the pair’s first international career victory and the second Big Tour Grand Prix. She also placed second on 68.304% on Bolero.

Morgan competed Deodoro at Small Tour two years ago, moved up to Medium Tour last year and began Grand Prix in June.
