Brittany, 32, and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding she owns with her husband, Marc-Andre Beaulieu, scored 71.677% in the Grand Prix. Simone Pearce on Destano, a 14-year-old Hanoverian stallion, was the highest scoring Australian in the Olympic Grand Prix. Simone, 30 , is based in Germany and trains and competes horses for Gestüt Sprehe GmbH, which owns Destano. Australia’s team for the Tokyo Olympics was made up of combinations based on three continents–Mary Hanna and Calanta from Down Under, Simone Pearce on Destano in Western Europe and Kelly Layne on Samhitas in the United States.
