Sweden’s team of Patrik Kittel on Well Done de la Roche, Juliette Ramel on Buriel and Therese Nilshagen on Dante Weltino was announced Tuesday. Antonia Ramel, Juliette’s sister, was named reserve.
The team:
* Patrik Kittel, 45, and Well Done de la Roche, 13-year-old Swiss Warmblood mare, owned by Brigitte Bigar, Muriel Perret, Francoise Trembley and Patrik
* Juliette Ramel, 34, and Buriel, 15-year-old KWPN gelding, owned by La Pomme HB
* Therese Nilshagen, 38, and Dante Weltino, 14-year-old Oldenburg stallion, owned by Dressurpferde Leistungsz and Therese
Reserve:
Antonia Ramel, 35, and Brother de Jeu, 15-year-old KWPN gelding, owned by La Pomme HB.
Patrik Kittel, based in Germany, has competed in the past three Olympics, and the last three World Equestrian Games, seven World Cup Finals and six European Championships, including individual bronze in 2009 and team bronzes in 2017 and 2019. Patrik and Well Done is the top ranked Swedish combination at No. 14 in the world.
Therese Nilshagen and Dante Weltino competed at the 2018 World Games in Tryon as well as the European Championships in 2017 and 2019 when Sweden won team bronze.
Juliette Ramel and Buriel were on Sweden’s team at the 2016 Olympics, the 2018 Tryon World Games and on the bronze medal team at the 2019 Europeans. She also competed in the 2005 European Junior Rider Championships and the 2006 Young Rider championships.
Antonia Ramel and Brother de Jeu were on Sweden’s bronze medal team at the 2019 Europeans.
