HERZLAKE, Germany, June 19, 2021–Cathrine Dufour and Bohemian returned to form with a victory in the Gut Einhaus CDI3* Grand Prix Saturday on a score above 80% to confirm their top ranking for Denmark’s team for the Olympics in five weeks.

Cathrine and the 11-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 80.348% for the win and the highest score for a Danish combination this year.

Laura Tomlinson rode DSP Rose of Bavaria to a personal best 75.413% for runner-up. Laura, 36, who was on Great Britain’s history-making 2012 London Olympic gold medal team, has been nominated on the 11-year-old German Sport Horse mare as a prospect for Tokyo.

In the first competition for Cathrine and Bohemian this years at the Nations Cup in Compiègne, France three weeks ago, the pair scored 76.500% in the Grand Prix and were eliminated in the Special. The result came after four competitions in 2020 with all scores well above 80% that confirmed Bohemian as the successor to her 2016 Olympic mount Cassidy that won medals at both the 2017 and 2019 European Championships.

Along with Cathrine and Bohemian, prospects for the team include Carina Cassøe Krüth on Heiline’s Danciera and Nanna Skodborg Merrald on Blue Hors Zack.
