TEMECULA, California, May 9, 2021–Steffen Peters and Suppenkasper logged their 21st straight win with a victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday a month away from a mandatory observation event that could send the rider to his fifth Olympic Games.

Steffen of San Diego, California and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding scored 76.043% for the undefeated string of 21 victories beginning Jan. 9, 2020. Two were at Temecula, California this week, four at Thermal, California last November and 15 at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida in both 2020 and 2021.

The partnership has logged a total of 38 wins in 48 CDI Grand Prix starts, including World Equestrian Games team silver, since Jan. 4, 2018 after Akiko Yamazaki and her Four Winds Farm acquired Suppenkasper as a prospect for the Games in Tokyo where her mother lives.

Nick Wagman also of San Diego on Don John scored 75.213% for second place, and the duo will also head to the observation event at Palm Beach International Equestrian Center in Wellington June 8-12.

Günter Seidel of Cardiff, California on Equirelle  scored 70.660% for third place. Anna Buffini of San Diego on FRH Davinia la Douce was fourth on 70.596%.

Anna and Günter have been named to the U.S. team for Nations Cup competition in France next month.
