EXLOO, Netherlands, May 6, 2021–Great Britain’s Charlotte Fry rode Dark Legend to victory in the Hippisch Centrum CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Thursday for the first Big Tour win for the 25-year-old rider.
Charlotte and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding scored a personal best 81.560% for the win in the duo’s first international competition in eight months. The pair’s previous best was 81.030% 15 months ago.
Charlotte and Dark Legend have been partnered for five years and their record includes Freestyle gold and leading Britain to team bronze at the European Under-25 Championships in 2018.
The Netherland’s Adelinde Cornelissen on Fleau de Baian were second on 78.325% with fellow Dutch rider Marieke van der Putten on Her Majesty TF third on 76.415%.
