EXLOO, Netherlands, May 6, 2021–Charlotte Fry on Everdale captured the Hippisch Centrum CDI3* Grand Prix Special just hours after riding Dark Legend to win the Grand Prix Freestyle Thursday, both with personal best scores.
The 25-year-old rider and Everdale scored 77.213% to easily beat the pair’s previous best in the Special of 73.766% set in November 2019. The freestyle result on Dark Legend of 81.560% for the win, beating their previous best result of 81.030% posted 15 months ago.
Charlotte on Everdale, 12-year-old KWPN stallion, and on Dark Legend, a 13-year-old KWPN gelding, placed third and fourth, respectively, in the Grand Prix Wednesday behind Edward Gal on the Glock-owned Totilas sons Toto Jr and Total US. The Dutch combinations were not entered in the Special or Freestyle.
The Netherlands’ Marlies van Baalen on Go Legend was second in the Special on 74.319% with Adelinde Cornelissen on Governor-STR third on 74.106%.
In the Freestyle, Adelinde on Fleau de Baian placed second on 78.325% and Marieke van der Putten on Her Majesty TF third on 76.415%.
