MONTEFALCO, Italy–Spain’s Antonio Laiz Zandio on Gejholms Menotti won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday while Carla Aeberhard of Switzerland on Delioh von Buchmatt CH took the Grand Prix Special.
Antonio and the 14-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding scored 73.600%, a personal best in the third musical performance for the pair since moving to Big Tour following the European Under-25 Championships last August.
Valentina Truppa of Italy on Ranieri placed second on 73.110% with Russia’s Evgenija Davydova on San Francisco T third on 71.015%.
Carla Aeberhard and the 13-year-old Swiss Warmblood, 2019 European Championship competitors, were awarded a winning score of 72.681%, also a personal best, after capturing the Grand Prix Friday.
Tatiana Miloserdova of Italy on Florento Fortuna were second on 70.383% with fellow Italian Francesca Rapazzoli on Rhadamanthus placed third on 68.170%.
