The Excellent Dressage Sales collection of the Netherlands online auction of 48 horses brought in more than €2/US$2.3 million from buyers in eight countries on both sides of the Atlantic.
Dancer Again by Prestige VDL and Dutch Dandy by Lord Leatherdale each went for more than €200,000/US$230,000 to Dutch buyers.
The organizers reported that “interest in the young dressage talents was very noticeable.” Among three-year-old horses, the mare Night Sky by Franklin went for €42,000 and No Limit by Total US for €35,000 to Netherlands’ buyers while Norton by Just For You was sold for €34,000 to Sweden.
The four-year-old mare May Fay Texel by Ferdinand; No Limit and Niko, both by Just For You; Jamal by Firestone and the three-year-old stallion Nash by Glock’s Toto Jr. all went to the United States.
