A German court has ruled that the sale of Totilas frozen semen is exclusive to Paul Schockemöhle who bought the black stallion in 2010 from Dutch businessman Kees Visser.

The Oldenburg Regional Court issued an interim injunction against the former owner who offered the sale of frozen semen after the KWPN stallion died last year.

Totilas was put into stud after the purchase by Schockemöhle Hengsthaltung GmbH as well as being competed by Matthias Rath for Germany.

Successful offspring include Total Hope OLD and Top Gear OLD competed for Schockemöhle as well as Glock’s Toto Jr. ridden by Edward Gal to the 2020 Dutch championship.

Edward competed Totilas on the Dutch gold medal team at the 2009 European Championships, was World Cup champion in 2010 and captured team, individual and freestyle golds at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky.
