LE MANS, France, Feb. 14, 2021–Russia’s Aleksandra Maksakova and Bojengels set a career high score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday and a second straight Big Tour musical performance victory in two starts.
Aleksandra and the 15-year-old KWPN gelding scored 76.220% for the victory beating their debut winnning result of 75.905% set here last October. Aleksandra, 23 years old, has been partnered with Bojengels since juniors six years ago and competed at the European Under-25 Championships last August.
The Netherlands’ Thamar Zweistra on Hexagon’s Double Dutch placed second on 74.680% with Alexandre Ayache of France on Zo What third on 73.915%.
