The 2021 schedule of Germany’s Nürnberger Burg-Pokal series for young Small Tour horses was announced Thursday with a lineup of 12 qualifiers beginning in late April leading to the final in Frankfurt the week before Christmas.

This will be the 30th year of the series that in 2020 was staged at the Shafhof, the home of the Linsenhoff/Rath family that organizes the event, as the coronavirus pandemic prevented it being held in the usual center in the city. Matthias Alexander Rath on Destacado FRH won the final of the Prix St. Georges Special final for horses aged seven to nine years.

The schedule for 2021, announced while Germany maintains restrictions on activities including horse sports until next month, is:

April 21-25 – Horses & Dreams Hagen

April 30-May 4 – Maimarkt Mannheim

May 7-9 – Pferdefestival Redefin

May 13-16 – Pferd International Munich

June 3-6 – Optimum and German Championships Balve

June 24-27 – Schafhof Dressurfestival Kronberg

July 7-11 – Dressurtage Bettenrode

July 29-Aug. – Reitertage Elmlohe

Aug. 26-29 – International inc. World Championships for Young Horses Verden

Sept. 9-12 – Dressurturnier Rosenhof Görlitz

Sept. 23-26 – Dressurturnier Ludwigsburg

Oct. 1-3 – Dressurfestival Schenefeld

Final
Dec. 16-19 – Internationales Festhallen Reitturnier Frankfurt
