Jane Brown who with her late husband, Dick Brown, was a major supporter of American top dressage has died.

The main competition arena at the U.S. Equestrian Team Foundation at Gladstone, New Jersey is named after the Browns for their contributions to U.S. dressage.

Dick, who made his fortune in jewelry, died in 2013 at the age of 83. The couple lived in Southern California.

They sponsored Günter Seidel for 23 years on Olympic bronze medal winning teams with Graf George at Atlanta in 1996, Foltaire in Sydney in 2000 and Aragon at Athens in 2004 as well as Nikolaus on the silver medal team at the 2002 World Equestrian Games and bronze of the 2006 WEG.
