WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 11, 2021–The Future Challenge finals of the Summit Farm Developing Prix St. Georges and Lövsta Developing Grand Prix will be held this weekend after being held over for a year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
The finals will be a feature of the opening of the winter-long Global Dressage Festival at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.
The warmup classes are scheduled for Saturday and the finals on Sunday in Global’s main international arena before ground juries of five judges.
The $10,000 Summit Farm Prix St. Georges for horses aged seven to nine years old in 2020 has received entries for 11 horse and rider combinations from four countries. Pan American Games individual gold medal rider Sarah Lockman will compete two horses in the St. Georges, as will Kelly Layne of Australia, who is based in Wellington.
