HAGEN, Germany, Sept. 24, 2020–Great Britain’s Lara Butler posted a career high international Grand Prix score when she rode Kristjan to the pair’s first Big Tour victory in the Horses & Dreams CDI4* Thursday.

Lara and the 15-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 74.500% per cent for the win in the duo’s second international competition since coronavirus lockdowns were eased. Lara and Kristjan, bred in Germany by the late Dr. Wilfred Bechtolsheimer and owned by his widow, Ursula, was 74.315% logged 10 months ago.

The highest Grand Prix result on Rubin al Asad, Lara’s international Grand Prix mount since 2015, was 74.060%.

Austria’s four-time Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer on Rockabilly placed second on 72.913% with Germany’s Hubertus Schmidt on DSK Belstaff third on 72.718%.
