BELOURA, Portugal, Aug. 28, 2020–João Miguel Torrao and Equador won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday, posting a personal best score for the second day in a row for the fourth straight victory for the Portugal team partnership.

João and the 11-year-old Lusitano stallion scored 77.468% for the win, beating the previous best of 75.787% set 13 months ago. The 2019 European Championship combination competing for Portugal posted a Grand Prix personal best result of 77.000% Friday.

Team mate Maria Caetano on her up and coming Fenix de Tineo placed second on 70.511%, also a personal best, surpassing the pair’s previous best of 70.044% set a month ago.

Vasco Mira Godinho on Garrett was third on 69.660% to round out a Portuguese sweep of the first five places.
