WAYNE, Illinois, Aug. 21, 2020–Alice Tarjan placed first on Donatella M and second on Harvest in the opening round Friday of the U.S. Developing Grand Prix Championship. Alice already leads in the Grand Prix and four-year-old championship events at the Festival of Champions with the finals still to come.
Alice of Frenchtown, New Jersey and the nine-year-old Oldenburg mare by Fürstenball scored 72.696% for the win on Donatella, that like most of her horses she buys directly from videos.
On Harvest, a nine-year-old KWPN stallion (Connaisseur x Ulft), she received 67.647% for the second place.
Third place went to James Koford of North Carolina on Flavius MF on 67.157%.
Alice competed Donatella at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida to win a leg of the Lövsta Future Challenge to qualify for the developing Grand Prix final that was deferred by the pandemic to the start of the 2021 circuit.
