ACHLEITEN, Austria, Aug. 15, 2020–Victoria Max-Theurer and Rockabilly posted their first Grand Prix Freestyle victory in winning the CDI4* musical competition Saturday.

Vici and the 10-year-old Westfalen stallion scored 79.665% for win in the third international competition for the pair at her family’s estate since early last month. The only previous victory for the duo was in the CDI4* Grand Prix Special last December.

Vici first competed Rockabilly 10 months ago. Along with Abegglen FH and Benaglio, the horse is among a refreshed lineup of Big Tour mounts for Vici who has competed in the past fur Olympics for Austria. She is coached by world No. 1 Isabell Werth of Germany.

The German 2018 world championship team gold medal partnership of Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jr. were second on 78.735%. The pair won the Grand Prix Friday in the first competition for the pair since January.

Stefan Lehfellner of Austria and Fackeltanz OLD placed third place on a personal best score of 77.305%. Previous best was 75.020% posted 14 months ago.
