ACHLEITEN, Austria, July 24, 2020–Isabell Werth posted 80% in the Grand Prix on two different horses–Weihegold OLD and DSP Quantaz– o win the two Grand Prix at the Achleiten CDI4* Friday.

Isabell, three days after her 51st birthday, was scored 81.174% on her world No. 2 Weihegold OLD in the Grand Prix for the Special.

The performance on Weihegold was the second this year, the first at Amsterdam in January where they logged a double victory. She had secured a start for the 15-year-old Oldenburg mare at the World Cup Final at Las Vegas before it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. She planned to ride her 2016 Olympic team gold and individual silver mount to an unprecedented fourth straight title in the annual championship.

Earlier in the day, Isabell rode DSP Quantaz to victory in the Grand Prix for the Freestyle on a score of 80.348%, the fourth horse in which the German superstar has breached 80% at Grand Prix. In addition to Weihegold, she has achieved the mark on Bella Rose, on which she is ranked No. 1, and Emilio, at nine on the world standings.

Victoria Max-Theurer on Abegglen FH NRW placed second on 77.631% in the Special qualifier in only their second Big Tour event.

Simone Pearce on Destano set an Australian Grand Prix record score of 74.152% for third place. This was only their third event since beginning their international partnership this year.

Isabell scored 80.348% on Quantaz, 10-year-old German Sport Horse. This was the German superstar’s second Big Tour event this month when international horse sports resumed after a break of 3 1/2 months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Scores for Isabell and Quantaz ranged from a high of 82.065%, a score of 81.413%, 80.870%, one of 78.913% and the lowest 78.478%. Quantaz is owned by Austria’s four-time Olympian Victoria Max-Theurer.
