ACHLEITEN, Austria, July 3, 2020–Isabell Werth won two CDI4* Grand Prix Friday in her first post-coronavirus pandemic international event, riding DSP Quantaz to a personal best score in their third career competition and victorious on Emilio.
Isabell and Quantaz, a 10-year-old German Sport Horse, were awarded 78.152% including one score of 81.413% from 5* judge Christof Umbach to win the Grand Prix for the Special. Quantaz, owned by Victoria Max-Theurer who is coached by Isabell, had been competed twice by the German star in the first half of 2019.
Isabell rode Emilio, on which is ranked No. 9 in the world, to win the Grand Prix for the Freestyle on a score of 79.500%. Victoria, a four-time Olympian for Austria, was runner-up on Rockabilly on 73.565%.
Victoria, at one of two events to be staged at her family’s home this month to help restore horse sport after more than 3 1/2 months halted due to the coronavirus pandemic, placed second on Abbeglen’s FH NRW on a score of 76.457%.
Abbeglen was competed for the first time at Big Tour by Victoria since the 10-year-old Westfalen gelding was acquired by her mother earlier this year after success at Grand Prix by Germany’s Marcus Hermes.
Austria’s Florian Bacher and Fidertraum were third on 70.465%.
