VERDEN, Germany, May 4, 2020–The dressage World Young Horse Championships will be staged in Verden Dec. 9-13 after being postponed for four months as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The championships were returning to Verden after four years in Ermelo, Netherlands.

However, the event will be indoors rather than outdoors.

Almost half of dressage events scheduled for 2020 have been canceled or postponed as a result of the coronavirus, including the World Cup Final that was to be held in Las Vegas last month and the Olympics in Tokyo that have been put off for a year.

The International Equestrian Federation (FEI) has not yet announced when the horse shows it recognizes will be resumed since their suspension in mid-March.
