WELLINGTON, Florida, Feb. 20, 2020–Megan Lane rode Zodiac MW to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday in pursuit of earning a place on Canada’s Tokyo Olympic team.
Megan and the 16-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.935% for the pair’s first win since posting a string of four victories in Canada ahead of making Canada’s team for 2018 World Equestrian Games at Tryon.
Megan, 28 years old, and Zodiac that she has been competing for three years edged by Japan’s Masanao Takahashi on Rubicon Unitechno that scored 70.870% in the Grand Prix for the Special.
America’s Ashley Holzer of Wellington was third on Mango Eastwood on 70.261%.
Megan rode Caravella on the Canadian teams at the 2016 Olympics, the 2014 World Games in Normandy as well for team silver medal at the Pan American Games in Toronto in 2015.
