WELLINGTON, Florida, Jan. 14, 2020–Canada’s Pan American Games team gold medal rider Jill Irving led the Adequan Global Dressage Festival prize money rankings after the first week of the winter-long circuit.
Jill on Degas won both the World Cup Grand Prix and Freestyle and placed on Arthur in the CDI3* to collect a total of $5,000, more than any of the 38 riders from 11 nations that shared in the prize money, according to calculations by dressage-news.com.
Fellow Canadian Brittany Fraser-Beaulieu earned $3,100, the second highest total.
Anna Marek of Williston, Florida was successful in both Big and Small Tour competition to collect a total of $2,850 for third place. Steffen Peters of San Diego, California who swept the CDI3* Grand Prix ranked fourth on $2,600 and Canada’s fellow Pan Am Games gold medal winner Naima Moreira-Laliberté stood fifth on $2,250.
