KEYSOE, England, Oct. 5, 2019–Emma Hindle on Romy del Sol won the Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday to post a double victory at this CDI3*.
Emma and the 13-year-old Westfalen mare scored 73.300% for the win following the pair’s Grand Prix victory Friday.
The results for the two-time British Olympian and Romy del Sol were the highest placings since logging a pair of victories in France a year ago.
The Big Tour debut for Sadie Smith and Keystone Dynamite was capped by second place on 71.850%, a day after runner-up in the Grand Prix.
Sadie and the 12-year-old British-bred Hanoverian gelding had competed in a single CDI before this event, at Small Tour in England in June 2018. The 29-year-old rider has not previously competed any other horse at international level but has won several national titles.
Maria Eilberg on Royal Concert were third on 71.750% in only the second Grand Prix Freestyle for the duo. Maria was on Britain’s silver medal team at the 2010 World Equestrian Games and three European Championships including the 2009 silver medal squad at Windsor,
