BONEO, Australia, Sept. 21, 2019–Suzanne Hearn and Remmington won the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday with the third highest Grand Prix score in 7 1/2 years at Big Tour for the Australian Olympic team partnership.
Suzanne and the 17-year-old Australian-bred Remmington scored 70.000% for their third victory this year. The two best Grand Prix scores for the pair were in 2017. The pair rode for Australia at the 2016 Olympics.
Louise Curran on Cil Dara Gandalf placed second on 67.348% with Pauline Carnovale on Captain Cooks third on 67.239%.
Wendi Williamson on the New Zealand-bred Don Amour MH that was this year’s New Zealand Horse of the Year was the only non-Australian in the lineup and placed seventh on 66.370%.
The Grand Prix Freestyle is scheduled for Saturday. The Pacific League holds a league final to determine the region’s sole representative for the World Cup Final that will be held in Las Vegas next April.
