MILL SPRING, North Carolina, Sept. 15, 2019–Katherine Bateson Chandler and Alcazar won theCDI3* Grand Prix Special Sunday to make it two for two at the start of U.S. qualifying for the team to go to the Olympics in Tokyo next year.

Katherine, of Wellington, Florida and the 14-year-old KWPN gelding scored 70.341% for the win two days after taking the Grand Prix in the first competition for the pair since returning from Europe.

Kelly Layne, who rides for Australia but is based in Florida, rode Furst Amante to second place on 64.277% with Ecuador’s Julio Cesar Mendoza Loor on Rosali third on 62.468%.
