DONAUESCHINGEN, Germany, Aug. 17, 2019–Benjamin Werndl rode Famoso OLD to a personal best score to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday and lead a German sweep of the top three places.
Benjamin and the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding scored 76.130% for the second victory since starting Big Tour nine months ago. The previous best Grand Prix result for the pair was 75.413% at Munich last November.
Frederic Wandres on Westminster placed second on 73.652% and Matthias Bouten on Meggle’s Boston was third on 72.543%.
